The city of Birmingham is beautiful. It has captured my heart. This beautiful tunnel of lights was installed nearly a year ago right next to Railroad Park; one of my favorite spots in the city. Another thing that has captured my heart is Caleb, and he suggested we go have some fun with my new tripod. P.S. No photoshop here! Just long exposure.
This past weekend Caleb and I discovered the joys of tandem bicycles… well at least I discovered that riding in back means I could get away without pedaling (until Caleb noticed). We got the bike from Green Central Station, a picnic shop, in the Highlands area of Birmingham.
Oh, and our best friend Tim came along for the ride.
Over a brief holiday break, I had the opportunity to explore my home city with friends and a couple new faces. We came across this gorgeous view of Birmingham atop a parking deck that required quite the precarious (and potentially dangerous) walk upon its edge to take in the breathtaking skyline.
Not to state the obvious, but this girl is gorgeous! Taking headshots with Jocelyn has been one of my favorite shoots so far, and that’s saying A LOT because we took these at 8 in the morning in about 40 degree weather. You read right. 40 degrees. But Jocelyn powered through and I’d say the outcome was definitely worth it!
Plus, this was a mile-marker shoot for myself because it was the last one on my old Canon Rebel XSI! I recently purchased a Canon 6D and I can’t wait to start shooting with it!

This is Chris. Not only is Chris an amazing graphic designer, but he is also one of my favorite coworkers at Telegraph Branding. Needless to say, I was delighted when he asked me to take some quick headshots for his personal portfolio site.

This little record shop happens to be one of my hometown hideaways. Situated in The Loop, Vintage Vinyl attracts your typical Midwestern college-aged hipster crowd… and of course, my dad who is way cooler than anyone in there.
My friends and I explored on our recent trip to St. Louis. And I took pictures.
